Markee Tate is a distinguished leader and advocate dedicated to
the advancement of Black-owned businesses and economic empowerment
within the African American community.
As the Chair of the Governing Board for both the Atlanta Black
Chambers, Inc. (501c(6)) and Advancing Black Businesses Foundation 501c3 , Inc.
(501c(4)), Markee plays a pivotal role in promoting the creation
and growth of competitive, profitable, and sustainable Black-owned
enterprises.
His strategic vision focuses on developing educational programs,
fostering business opportunities, and formulating public policy
initiatives that drive growth for Black businesses and enhance
value for Black consumers.

Markee's tenure as President and CEO of the Atlanta Black Chambers from 2016 to 2022 was marked by significant organizational growth and the successful implementation of initiatives aimed at empowering Black entrepreneurs. His leadership extended to the Georgia Coalition of Black Chambers, where he served on the Board of Directors, advocating for the collective interests of Black-owned businesses across the region. Additionally, as a member of the Board of Directors and Board of Governors of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, Markee has been instrumental in fostering economic progress and collaboration within the state
In the private sector, Markee serves as he’d of a company specializes in tax preparation, accounting, and insurance product development with offices in Georgia and Tennessee. Under his guidance, his company exemplifies excellence in the financial services industry, providing essential support to businesses and individuals alike.
Markee's professional journey began with Tennessee State Parks, where he excelled as a Park Manager, laying the foundation for his leadership skills. A native of Tennessee, he later transitioned into entrepreneurship, gaining valuable experience as a General Manager in food sales and environmental services within the Atlanta market. Markee is an alumnus of Middle Tennessee State University, where he was a four-year football letterman, demonstrating his commitment to both academic and athletic excellence.
Markee is a sought-after speaker and thought leader on topics related to economic development, public policy, and the growth of Black-owned businesses. He has been featured in various media outlets and has participated in numerous panels and discussions aimed at driving positive change within the business community.
